Home Service Slow Season Predictor | HVAC, Plumbing & Roofing

See which months are likely to be slow in your service area, so you can plan ad spend, staffing and cash flow before the phones go quiet.

How the predictor works

You enter your service area. The tool looks up historical average temperatures for that location and sorts each month into a season:

  • Heating season: average temperatures below 50°F.
  • Shoulder season: averages between 55°F and 75°F, when neither the furnace nor the AC is working hard. For most HVAC companies these are the slow months.
  • Cooling season: averages above 80°F.

The result is a month-by-month calendar for your area. It is based on historical averages, so an unusually hot or cold year can shift the real dates.

What to do with the calendar

Shoulder months are the time to sell maintenance plans and tune-ups, follow up on old estimates and lean on channels that keep working when demand drops. Book that work before the slow stretch starts, not once it is already here.
